The Bird can be summed up by a simple tagline: Good meat. And lots of it.
By now it is a Berlin institution, to which we were introduced by friends shortly after moving there. If you’re craving beef in a bun, it’s a place to be.
They mince their own meat; you can select how you want it done, although they seem to gauge their doneness by American standards and err a bit on the “well done” side.
Prices are in the medium range, but you’re certain to get your fill.
That we didn’t go very often has less to do with the quality of the product, and more with the fact that this is a place that won’t surprise you every time you visit. You go there, you get a great burger. You go again, and burger it is again.
