Shiso Burger, Asian style

We tried their branch in Berlin-Mitte a few times. It has already become a go-to location, so you can expect a bit of a wait on some days.

I like their “lighter” approach to burgers, both in using “asian” ingredients and by offering human-sized portions that don’t leave you totally stuffed afterwards. You can take a pick from the more traditional beef burgers (wagyu as an option) or go for shrimp, bulgogi or veggie fillings. While their “vanilla” ham- and cheeseburgers are nice enough, they’re not really the reason why you’d be seeking out this place. So if you’re going for the beef you should at least give the chili-lime variant a try.

Of course you can still have fries with your meal, which are nice enough. I personally also like to snack on some edamame and the kimchi side is also in line with their style.

Currently this is our favorite burger place in Berlin, for taste, experience and novelty factor.
